Piano lessons for all ages

Each lesson is planned to fit the student’s individual interests, needs, and goals. Repertoire is not limited to Classical music, and students are encouraged to bring forth music of their own interest to study.

Lessons are offered in 30, 45, and 60-minute sessions, and include note reading, music theory & history, technique, and games!

Performance opportunities are offered through group activities, optional competitions, and studio recitals.

Piano Lessons for Kids

It’s never too late to start taking piano lessons! Whether you took lessons in the past, or are a complete beginner, piano lessons are a fun way to enjoy and express yourself. It’s important to play music that interests you, and repertoire is chosen accordingly.

As more adult students join the studio, there is the option to participate in an “Adult Piano Party”, where adult students and teacher come together to perform for each other in a laidback setting. This is meant to be a fun, relaxed evening to show off what you’ve been working on in lessons. Afterwards there is the opportunity to socialize and enjoy good food!

“Mary gave both of my kids their first ever piano lessons, at ages 7 and 9. She worked with my daughter for a year, and with my son for two years. I loved seeing how she differentiated the lessons - based on their personalities, interests, and skill levels. She did an amazing job keeping piano interesting for them, while also making sure they learned and practiced all of the important concepts. I credit Mary with instilling in them a love for the piano, an excitement for the weekly lesson, and an understanding of the importance of regular practice. Her gentle but firm guidance and encouragement would be an asset to piano students of any age or level. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”
