Lessons are designed to fit the student’s individual interests, needs, and goals. Lessons are focused on technique, repertoire, and theory, and also include composition and games. Students are encouraged to bring forth music of their own interest to study.

Lessons are offered in 30, 45, and 60-minute sessions.

Individual Lessons

Lessons for students are offered in quarterly sessions: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Each quarter includes one or two group classes (piano parties!) in which students learn music history and composition, play games, and can perform for each other in a comfortable setting.

There are two recitals per year, one in the fall and one in spring.

2024-25 Calendar Year

Mary gave both of my kids their first ever piano lessons, at ages 7 and 9. She worked with my daughter for a year, and with my son for two years. I loved seeing how she differentiated the lessons - based on their personalities, interests, and skill levels. She did an amazing job keeping piano interesting for them, while also making sure they learned and practiced all of the important concepts. I credit Mary with instilling in them a love for the piano, an excitement for the weekly lesson, and an understanding of the importance of regular practice. Her gentle but firm guidance and encouragement would be an asset to piano students of any age or level. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Christine, parent

My daughter loves piano - the songs are fun, and she likes all the learning games that help with her sight reading. I love seeing her recognize songs and notes or play instruments elsewhere because she’s learning music, not just piano. The studio is comfortable and welcoming, and I appreciate Miss Mary being supportive of Veronica as a whole person, growing up.
